My name is Hazel and I was born in San Diego CA, and raised in Indianapolis IN, Lexington NC then settled in Greensboro NC in highschool.
I went to community college for a few years for Teaching before putting my degree on hold when I became pregnant with my daughter, then moved to Pembroke with my Husband for his degree.
I have always enjoyed writing, thus I have dozens of “In the works” books I’ve been working on for years. Then came a long Instagram and the bloggers, I loved the community so I decided to start blogging on the side and today its now my full-time job.
I also have been taking a class to earn my Real-estate License later this summer. I have been loving the community and learning more about this topic.
I plan still work in Real-estate while also blogging as I love helping all of you and being the best resource for all things fashion, beauty, and home!
I have been married for almost 8 years- and together with my Husband Chris for 15 years. You can typically find him helping me on one of my many DIY home projects, playing video games like Mass Effect and Drakes Uncharted. Which also happen to be my favorite as well. He also loves taking the kids out for some family fun hiking. He has a Masters degree in Therapy and in IT, though breaking into the IT world has been a little harden than we though since the world shut down and opened back up.
We welcomed our teen, Alycia, October 2010. She is our first surprise baby and we are beyond grateful to be parents. She helped my husband quit smoking for good, he has been addiction free for 13yrs. We’ve learned a lot as first time parents with Alycia, from what works to what doesn’t, the best way to parent and discipline and how to have fun as a family. She is definitely our spoiled child, but now that she’s a teen its definitely different that she can fit into my clothes.
After Alycia, we welcomed out second baby boy, Harrison Brady. They have a 9yr age gap but they love each other like crazy and enjoy playing together. I know that I can always find Harrison following Alycia’s games or she helping him to build a fort. Harrison is out sweet, cuddly and very loving 4yr. Yes we did name him after Harrison Ford and Tom Brady. Husband is a huge Patriots and Brady fan.
After Harrison came our second surprise baby boy, Nathan Zachery. We hadn’t planned to have another baby but he decided otherwise. Its very true what they say about that third kid, they do not give a single care at all. Nathan is out crazy, wild, energetic little boy. He will do anything he wants without a second thought. Yes, we also named him after our favorite video game character, Nathan Drake and my late baby brothers middle name.
Currently, we live still live in Greensboro NC. We hope to one day move to Wilmington but right now we have enjoyed living here.
My goal is to be the best resource for all things affordable fashion, sales, kids, beauty, recipes, and home- I love sharing our life with you and hope that I can bring a smile to your day. I absolutely LOVE this community and am so thankful to have you along for the ride! XOXO
