I have always loves the holiday, everything about them.just brings back nostalgia as you decorate with the family, backed cookies and lisyen to music or watch scary movies.
But nothing beats getting the decorations out of storage, going through what you want to use and decorating with family.
But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gravitated more towards vintage finds that remind me of my childhood. But I also want new pieces I can hand down to my kids, I don’t want just a bunch of hodgpodge junk that everyone raved about and said I had to have.
I want pieces that make me smile every time I see it. pieces thay I truly love year after year and it’s hard to get that when your shopping at target, or Walmart, marshals or homegoods.
That’s why I love Anthropologie and pottery barn and west elm. For pieces that I know will look great in my home and last a long time. Some pieces are an investment and some are reasonably priced, but I know that these are pieces that will be here for years to come.
I picked some of my favorite pieces from this year’s new collection. I especially love the spider candles holders and the raven candle holders, but those little felt animals are darling.
