Back in June I was thrilled to watch the third season of Bridgerton after much, much, much pressure that it was going to be amazing.
I was so disappointed to find thstnit was going to be in two parts. But excited nevertheless, until I made the decision to watch them both together. That meant i had to stay for way from Instagram and all the countless spoilers. I am happy to report I did not ruin it for myself…..more than once. LOL I did watch the doorway at night kissing scene but that was it.
Anyways, I can’t wait for season 4 and to make a whole new afternoon tea for myself. I made sure to busy myself with planning my own afternoon tea to distract myself from the spoilers and I am so happy that I did. The show was good, but no where near as good as this sandwich of three I made for lunch.
This Apple and Prosciutto sandwich was so freaking good, I didn’t think much of it having apples but it really heightened the flavor and made it so much better.
The toasted sourdough, tang and tart green appel, the dry taste of the Prosciutto, the dryness of the cheese.
Ugh it all paired really well, together and with some afternoon black tea.

- RADISHES sliced thinly
- PROSCIUTTO
- BRIE
- BREAD I used sliced sourdough bread
- SAGE BUTTER butter and finely chopped fresh sage, about 1 sage leaf per 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 Tbsp May
- ARUGULA
- FRESH APPLE SLICES
I made two sandwiches, one with Msyo and one with Sage Butter, they were both really good but I liked the one with Mayo better.
Directions
Prepare the sage butter: It’s best to use softened butter here. Allow yours to sit on the counter at room temperature before stirring in the chopped sage leaves. Set aside.
Assemble the sandwiches: I used store-bought sliced sourdough bread which come in a regular square size.
The recipe from x has yountrimmingnghe ends so their in tea sandwich rectangular shape but i just kept my bread whole and cut them in half. I made two full sandwiches, one with sage butter and one with mayo.
Begin by spreading the sage butter on the bread. Add the prosciutto and layer the other ingredients–apple slices, brie, radishes and arugula. Serve with tea or cocktails.
Note: I toasted my bread lightly before using.
