I used to love KFC when I was a kid, we didn’t go their all the time, it was more of a special treat a couple of times a year when my parents couod get a coupon. But I always loved they crispy skin they had.
I used to make my own bowl with mashed potatoes and gravy, the biscuit and chicken and of coursensome corn and cheese. I thought it was the best things ever, all my favorite parts in one little bowl.
Then KFC came out with their own, but it was the same and we just didn’t go often as they felt expensive and unhealthy. But I still craved the bowl from childhood every once in a while.
I couodnt go there anymore with my new diet but I couod try making my own and it was so much better than kfc.
I made my own gravy with some bone broth and a little flour and cornstarch, i don’t have an exact recipe but Pinterest has plenty.
I used gluten free chicken strips cut up, dairy free shredded Cheese, and mashed potatoes made with cream instead of butter.
I’ve posted the recipe to my blog and its such a good one. This is one recipe you will choose over the KFC one every time.
